We have been campaigning for over a year against this monstrous project and we cannot thank you enough for your support to date – with over 600 local citizens signing objection letters and petitions.

We are also very grateful to the Argyll & Bute Planning Department which has recommended refusal, subject to a decision, by our councillors. But it’s not over yet …. and we would value your support at this meeting. Let’s stand strong together and protect our National Scenic Area for future generations.

PUBLIC HEARING DATE IS NOW SET

We have just been advised that the PPSL Committee (Argyll & Bute Council) has provisionally set a date: TUESDAY MARCH 26, 2019 …. for a public hearing. This meeting will allow for public participation and will likely be held at the Glendaruel Village Hall.

The PPSL will then render its decision shortly thereafter

We will keep you posted on the TIME and LOCATION as soon as we are able to confirm it.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS AS YOUR ATTENDANCE AND VOICE WILL BE NEEDED!

NEWS UPDATE – JANUARY 26, 2019

The PPSL Committee met on January 23, 2019 and noted that the proposal is recommended for refusal, subject to a discretionary hearing being held.

Accordingly, the PPSL has agreed to hold a discretionary pre-determination hearing at the earliest opportunity.

The hearing (date as of yet unannounced) will allow us the opportunity to make public representations. We will let you know of the date/time/location ASAP. We will need to make sure that we have maximum presence at this event and strongly encourage you to attend.
